The Timmins Service Area known as North East Area Council commonly referredto as NEAC (pronounced "knee ack") is very much interested in a webpage toadd to the Regional site.
NEAC's area covers all OPSEU Locals fromCochrane, Moosonee, Hearst, Chapleau, Gogama, Temiskaming Shores, Kirkland Lake and everything in between. Last count we had approximately 2700 OPSEU members.

Our membership include the following Locals:
638, 639, 640, 641, 642, 643, 645, 646, 648, 649, 651, 652, 654, 663, 664, 665, 674 and 683.
We meet for times a year.

An additional emergency meeting by Teleconference was held on Wednesday April 28, 2010.
In spite of the long distances and having meetings on Saturday we have good attendance and Quorum.
Our Region 6 Office is located in Timmins and we have two membership centres one in Timmins and the other in New Liskeard.
