North Bay Area Council recently funded a bus for so Atkion Club North Bay could attend the Kiwanis Aktion Leadership Conference at Casa Loma.  The conference was great and Aktion Club North Bay received the “Outstanding Fundraising Award”.  The Club members had a wonderful time.

Souper Lunch at MNR

What’s better than a hot bowl of soup on a cold day? Maybe having a choice of 12 different soups, or maybe knowing you are raising money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Staff at the North Bay MNR office, including OPSEU local 635, participated in our 8^th annual Soup Day for Heart and Stroke. We were able to fill up on a variety of soups including roasted red pepper, borscht, vichyssoise, and traditional bean, turkey, or hamburger. Following up with a slice of fresh bread or roll, fruit soup, and date cake for dessert — we were able to raise $139 for Heart and Stroke research!
